Who we are
Auton is a software studio based in Austria, contactable at hello@auton.at. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit our website or contact us.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions — name, email, company (optional), and the project details you provide. Used solely to reply to your inquiry.
- Server logs — IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp. Kept for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
- No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, no third-party analytics by default.
Legal basis
We process inquiry data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and server logs on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure website).
Hosting & subprocessors
- Cloudflare, Inc. — global CDN and edge compute hosting. Traffic may be processed at EU-region edge nodes. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Email — inquiry messages reach us via standard email. We may rely on European email infrastructure providers under GDPR-compliant contracts.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@auton.at. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at).

When you click "Load live preview" on a project tile, your browser may load that third-party site (e.g. uttc-oberwart.at, vocalo.eu) and that site's own privacy policy then applies. We do not load these sites by default.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
